This lecture was recorded on March 2, 2008 in Cedar Rapids at the CTIM training day event sponsored by the Southeastern Iowa Synod of the ELCA.  Nessan speaks on the idea of moving the church, including each person in the pew, to a more challenging relationship with the world.  Moving from Maintenance to Mission is a familiar topic to those who are students at Wartburg Theological Seminary, ELCA in Dubuque, IA.  Nessan offers a passionate message that is not to be missed.  Even if you've heard Nessan offer a similar lecture, this address will no doubt bring you to new thoughts for ministry.  The audience was a nearly filled-to-capacity, large church.
